Baking cookies? Putting up lights? Wrapping presents? Reading your Bible? The right songs have a way of adding that warm feeling to any activity!
This is a festive twist on the viral 30-Day Song Challenge that’s all about Christmas music! You can get my free Instagram Story template below in a couple of cute and fun colors for the holidays.

Alright, let’s get into the holiday spirit with some fun Christmas song ideas!

How the Christmas Song Challenge Works
It’s really simple.
- Download or screenshot one of my free Instagram Story templates
- Each day, choose a song that suits that day’s prompt
- Share it to your Instagram Stories, create a reel, or create a post it to your feed – you could even post it on your Facebooks stories if that’s where you usually share content
- Tag your friends and challenge them to join in too!
We’ve loved doing this challenge in past years – its a super fun way to spread holiday cheer and discover new Christmas songs.
I’ve also created two different printable versions of the challenge this year for a 25 day Christmas song challenge as well as a 30 day Christmas song challenge.

Download the 25 Day Christmas Song Challenge Template
Want to use the template instead? Follow these steps below to download yours now and get started.
(1) Download the template – you can choose from either the rose gold or red and green color combinations below
(2) Start the song challenge on or around December 1 and post the template of your choice (or alternate between colours!) every day to your Instagram stories for 25 day in a row
(3) Show which day you’re currently on by marking up the template with either a circle GIF or drawing a circle around it with Instagram’s writing option
(4) To insert the song of choice, place an Instagram music sticker above the solid line that says ADD MUSIC HERE.
(5) Choose some hashtags to add to your story and share it – #ChristmasSongChallenge is a great one to start with!
To get the template, simply click on the colours you want!
Your computer or mobile device will automatically download it. Then you just need to upload it as a photo from your phone when you go to make a post.

Once you’ve completed your challenge, turn your answers into a Christmas playlist on Spotify, YouTube, or Apple Music!
My kids and I love playing our “Christmas Challenge Playlist” during baking days, while we’re decorating the house and Christmas tree, and even while we’re performing Christmas songs on our own.
Making music is such an amazing way to build family memories.
I absolutely adore this little bluetooth speaker for at home and on the go – I even use it to play my backing tracks when I’m playing guitar and singing.
The kids love to join in too and use the microphones with this mini karaoke set so their voices are better heard when we’re singing and playing Christmas songs together.
I can’t recommend the mini speaker and karaoke sets enough as gift ideas for music lovers on your list too!
