Music has always been one of everyone’s favorite parts of our homeschool days!
Sometimes it’s structured guitar lessons or piano practice.
Somedays its music picture books and theory lessons.
Other times it’s worship music playing while we get ready for or clean up after the school day has come to a close.
Our kids even make up random songs while they play dolls so it becomes a musical, haha.
Over the years, I’ve collected music quotes to hang in our acoustic and electric guitar spaces, homeschool room, and even my office and I’m really excited to share some of my favorite ones with you today!
You’ll find quotes from musicians and non-musicians, as well as hymns, and Bible verses in the post below.
Because sometimes a simple sentence on the wall can shift your mood – especially on challenging days when practice feels hard or when little fingers are tired.

How to Use Music Quotes in Your Homeschool, Classroom, or Studio
Here’s how we use music quotes in our home:
1. Music Wall Art
Print and frame a rotating quote each month – you can place them in frames like these so they’re easy to pop in the next one when you’re ready.
Amazon also has a few cute music quote canvas options – I really like this one and this one!
2. Copywork Practice
Turn quotes into handwriting pages – especially for elementary students. It’s meaningful and beautiful.
I’ll be adding ready to go copywork bundles to my shop this spring.
3. Morning Basket Discussion
Choose one quote per week and ask:
- What does this mean?
- Have you experienced this?
- How does this apply to practice?
Simple. Powerful.

4. Journal Prompts for Older Students or Self-Reflection
Use quotes as creative writing starters.
So, for example something like: “Music heals what words cannot.”
Then write about or ask your student about a time a song helped you during a difficult time.
