Lululemon Diaper Bag: Here’s What You Should Get!
Depending on the age of your baby and whether or not you have multiple kids, I have a couple of different recommendations for you.
They range from 1L up to 20L in volume!
Can you use any bag as a diaper bag?
Yes, you can!
The difference between purses and backpacks marked as diaper bags and regular bags are the compartments inside and the material they’re made with.
Diaper bags should be:
- easy to access
- easy to clean
- large enough to store a couple of diapers and wipes
You may also want to choose your diaper bag according to:
- your baby’s age
- how many children you usually travel with
- whether you’re walking or driving
- whether you’ll wear it on your person or clip it to a stroller
Does Lululemon make a diaper bag?
While Lululemon doesn’t specifically market any of their bags as diaper bags, there are several options that are PERFECT for new parents!
My top choices are:
I’ll explain who each option is best for next!
Waist Pack Diaper Bag: Everywhere Belt Bag
This is my daily choice.
The mesh and liner are both 100% polyester and the body is 100% recycled nylon – it is SUPER easy to clean with a baby wipe!
I have two kids aged 1 and 5 and can fit the following into this small and handy waist pack:
- two diapers
- about ten wipes
- two squeezable pouches
We live in a pretty rural area, so I usually drive to a lot of our destinations BUT I also wear this bag when we walk to the local grocery store.
I keep a couple of diapers and a pack of wipes in the center console of my car for longer days though – just in case – but so far, I’ve never had to use them.
Giving my baby a change just before leaving is a must before we head out for the day as it prolongs the time between changes on the go.
I know that’s easier said than done with a newborn though, so I recommend this bag for babies aged 6 months and up (or when your little one has started eating solids).
This Lululemon diaper bag option is best for:
- older babies
- short trips
- light packers
Purse Diaper Bag: All Night Festival Bag
If you love wearing purses, this Lululemon diaper bag is a great choice!
It’s easy to wash with baby wipes and holds a decent amount of things you could need on the go.
The outer material is 100% nylon and the lining is 100% polyester.
You can carry:
- several diapers
- a full pack of baby wipes
- spare outfit(s)
- squeezable pouches
It’s great for babies aged 3 months and up who have more regular sleeping, feeding, and diaper changing schedules.
The Festival bag is a great in-between purse for moms who do a combination of walking and driving to their destinations.
This Lululemon diaper bag option is best for:
- babies 3 months and older
- small families with a couple of kids
- medium-light packers
- long day trips
- moms who want a more feminine purse style diaper bag
Newborn Diaper Bag: City Adventure Backpack
The beautiful thing about this backpack is that it comes in several different sizes including:
- City Adventure Backpack 3L
- City Adventure Backpack 11L
- City Adventure Backpack 20L
- City Adventure Backpack Nano
Now obviously the Nano isn’t going to hold much more than a pacifier, teethers, or some snacks but it would make a cute little add-on to the Everywhere Belt bag or Festival bag!
If you’re buying a backpack, I’d imagine you want a bit of room so, I’d also advise against the 3L in favor of 11L or 20L.
To give you an idea, The Mini from Fawn Design is a 9L diaper bag and from my experience as a first-time new mom, I found this gave me just enough room to pack our newborn essentials.
I personally like the size of the 11L City Adventure backpack but if you’re the type of person who likes to pack everything and the kitchen sink, go for the 20L backpack!
The larger 20L Lululemon diaper bag backpack option is also a great size for parents who travel often and/or enjoy outdoor adventures with their little ones.
Both sizes are great for newborn babies and larger families with multiple children!
You’ll have all of the room you need for diapers, wipes, snacks, bottles, spare outfits, and more.
If you cloth diaper, the larger size also has enough room for a decent-sized wet bag.
The mesh, lining, and body are all made of 100% polyester.
This option is best for:
- newborn babies
- large families with multiple kids
- travel with kids
- all-day long outings
- stroller trips around town
- cloth diapering families

Final Thoughts: Lululemon Diaper Bag Picks
I wear my Lululemon Everywhere Belt Bag as a diaper bag every single day!
Since I prefer packing light and like having my hands free when I’m with the kids, this small waist bag is exactly what I need to get the most out of my trips out.
Now that said, I wouldn’t recommend such a small bag with a newborn baby who’s more prone to blowouts and will need an outfit change (or a couple) throughout the day!
If your baby is just a couple of days up to 6 months old, I’d recommend getting the Lululemon City Adventurer backpack instead.
The 11L size has more than enough room for 10 diapers, wipes, diaper cream, spare outfits, and feeding supplies.
But if you like to be SUPER prepared (I was the same with my first baby), then you might want to try the 20L size.
Have a baby older than 3 months and prefer to pack lighter?
The Festival Bag is a great option!
You can fit several diapers, wipes, cream, and an outfit.
